The documents and drawings for the project are now complete and construction cost can be finalized by finished plans. Typically, with a project of any complexity the architect/engineer could advise a cost plus to build out. The other option could be a lock and key cost contract with less complex drawings. This also protects the interests of the General Contractor and Property Owner and the integrity of the design. The architect/engineer reviews the invoices and makes recommendations on overall costs and scheduling with the General Contractor performing the build out project.
